Office Mission Statement
The Office of Distance and Extended Learning expands access to academic credit learning experiences and lifelong learning opportunities for students through distance learning, extended studies, and continuing education.
Core Values
The Office of Distance and Extended Learning achieves its mission through strong collaboration among our team and other departments on campus; mutual respect for faculty, staff, and students; effective and accurate communication; and conscientious action in our daily operations.
Collaboration
We are collaborative. We work together and cooperate. We are helpful. We collaborate with one another and with other university offices and staff. We listen to all involved stakeholders. Through collaboration, we continue to develop and provide quality courses and programs to Texas State students, faculty, staff and other constituents.
Respect
We are respectful. We maintain a professional demeanor in both conduct and appearance. We strive to create an environment in which people respect and listen to one another, speak when appropriate, and permit other people to participate and express their views.
Communication
We communicate. We deliver timely and accurate information and assistance to stakeholders. We communicate and act quickly as problems and opportunities arise.
